WPForms Not Working

    Hello,
I have been trying to create a contact form which works and notifies the business email, when somebody has filled out the form. I am currently using WPForms for my contact page. However, whenever I fill out this form I do not receive any email, even though I get a confirmation that the form has been completed and sent on the contact page. I have checked the settings, and the correct email address is set up.

Following this, I set up WP Mail SMTP, with Gmail; I have used the test email and it works perfectly fine. I then tried to use the contact form again, however I still don’t receive any emails. I am slightly confused as to why this hasn’t resolved the issue, as it works fine with the test email within WP Mail SMPT. I have followed the instructions of another forum, but still nothing works.

I suspect that the primary issue for this, may be caused with the emails not matching up. On the WP Forms, I have two emails which should be notified, which is the admin email and an additional email, which belongs to the business website I have created. In WP Mail SMTP, the ‘From Email’ is the admin email, however the Gmail set up is not the admin email, but instead the website business email. I do not know if this is the cause of the issue. If this is the cause of the issue, how do I change the ‘From Email’ within SMTP, as it doesn’t allow me to change or interfere with this setting as it is greyed out.

    Thank You

  • Hi –

The site mentioned does not use our managed hosting environment from WordPress.com. Instead, it’s set up on the open source WordPress.org software which is something different.

This page talks about this differences in more detail:

    WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org

Help with that site comes from https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
