  How can you change the colour as it doesn’t show in some templates

  Hi –

  Changing the caption color would require CSS. That’s part of the custom design package included with the premium plan at https://wordpress.com/pricing/

  It’s probably not worth the upgrade to change 1 small part of the site like that. Perhaps you can find another theme that displays the captions as desired. It’s worth a look: https://wordpress.com/themes/
