Wrong content display, but the URL is correct

I edited my About page to have an image and several paragraphs of text. I then updated the page. When I click view page, though, my home page is displayed. The URL is correct, but I can’t get it to display the content. I even added a dummy new page called ‘Services’ and published it. That page also just displays my home page. Is there an extra step I’m missing other than clicking ‘Publish’ and ‘Update’?

    WP.com: Yes

  • Hi there,

This is happening because you have added the content of your homepage to the Page template. This causes all of your site’s pages to look the same.

To fix that, you need to reset the Page template by following these instructions:

    https://wordpress.com/support/templates/#reset-a-template

If this doesn’t work or you have more questions, just let me know, and I’ll be happy to help!

You are a life saver, thank you!! The difference between ‘Pages’ and the ‘Edit Site’ templates was lost on me. Gratitude.
