Wrong domain name

  Why is my blog address: “edthreaddotorg.wordpress.com”? My understanding when I paid for the advanced service was that it would read: edthread.org. Could you please clarify?

  Did you purchase a domain name through wordpress.com? If so then did you follow through all the steps for domain mapping?

  Or did you purchase a domain name elsewhere and then pruchase domain mapping from wordpress.com? If so then did you follow through with all the steps to map to an existing domain?

  In either event do know that this is not a instaneous process. It can take up to 72 hours after the proper steps have been taken for a domain name to propagate throughout the internet.
