Wrong domain name
-
I started an account. But have not yet purchased a plan. The account is showing a domain name that I browsed but do not want to purchase. How do I remove that, search for my choice of domain names and then proceed to purchase a plan?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
Here is how I would do that:
1 – go to your current domain name, which I assume is rosalbaorg.wordpress.com
2 – in your top, left corner, click My Sites. In the menu that appears below, click Domains.
3 – on my account, I have mulitiple sites, so I’m curious if this would work for you if you only have one site tied to this account. If you go to the top of the menu, below the My Sites link, but above your current domain name, is there a link here. My link is called Switch sites. If you have a link here, click that.
4 – at the bottom of the menu, there is a choice for Add site. Click this, and follow the steps to set up a new WordPress.com site, which will be associated with the same account you’re already using. Be sure to choose New WordPress.com site.
5 – during this process, you’ll get the option if you want this to be a free site, or if you want to upgrade it. Even if you choose the free option, you’ll be able to upgrade to the paid version later if you want.If you want to remove your old domain name, I would opt for emptying your site (if you even have something on it). Read more here about how to empty your site. You could also delete the site of course, but you should know that if you do this, you will not be able to use this url again, so be very careful with this.
You could also just let the domain name stay there, and never use it. Or you could cancel it. Read more about that here.
Cancellations
Canceling a domain means that you are giving up the right to use that domain. Canceling a domain can cause your site to stop working and the domain can be lost permanently. You should only cancel a domain if you are sure you no longer want it and are okay with the potential of someone else registering and using it. Do not cancel a domain if you wish to transfer it to a different owner, site, or registrar.
