    I’d hired web designer to set up my WordPress web site and online store. But when I now managed myself and trying to add woocommerce shipping options? Your system was asking me for my WP account? I did have a website hosted by your service.

    Where can I find this account name and reset pW?

    Hi there,

    WooCommerce is owned by the same parent company that owns WordPress.com so to use some functions of WooCommerce does require a WordPress.com login, which is how we manage secure logins on the WooCommerce.com site.

    To clarify, the account you create at WordPress.com is NOT connected to any self-hosted WordPress sites (sites that you create on a “traditional web host” like Bluehost, GoDaddy, etc.) you may have. It’s also not connected in any way to your direct hosting account login as well.
