  i do not have the option :Enable the WordPress, Movable Type, MetaWeblog and Blogger XML-RPC publishing protocols in Settings > Writing . So therefore I cant verify my website to gravatar. It says to go to Settings > Writing > Remote Publishing but I do not see a Remote Publishing option at all in Writing

  Hi there,

  On what site are you working? The account you’re using to post here does not own any sites on WordPress.com.

  If you’re using the open source WordPress software at another host, you’ll need to ask your hosting provider to enable xml-rpc on your server.
