    Help, please! I cannot log into my site when I go to wp-admin. I am getting a message that I don’t have any WordPress sites yet but I have a WordPress site for one year now. I am also getting this message: ‘Childhood Central may be a copy of WordPress with a different hosting service’.

    Why is this happening? I’m not a technical person so I don’t know how to figure this out, can someone please help?

    What is the URL of the site you’re trying to access?

    Thanks for the reply but I have been signing in to my WordPress website for one year now with no problem. I don’t understand how all of a sudden I don’t have a WordPress site. I am hosted by BlueHost but I never had an issue before yesterday.

    Hi there,

    We can’t help directly because we don’t host your site on our WordPress.com managed business hosting. As a result we don’t have the ability to take a closer look at your site.

    Instead your host (Bluehost) uses the open-source variant of the WordPress software which functions differently than what we offer here on WordPress.com. Specifically we use a custom login system for enhanced security, and are not able to troubleshoot the login system used on self-hosted WordPress sites.

    The good news is that as long as you have access to the server control panel through Bluehost, it is always possible to regain access to your self-hosted WordPress site. This WordPress.org Codex article will walk you through it: https://wordpress.org/support/article/resetting-your-password/

    You can ask Bluehost support for direct assistance in completing the steps in that article; they would be in the best position to help.
