  Hi! I am a newbie to blogging,,, and just want to make sure I’m not breaking any rules! (-: I know this is basic

  Is it okay to post other people’s YouTube videos to your blog…. do you have to ask permission or notify them. Is it rude to do that? Is it breaking any copyright rules?

  How about linking to other blogs, webpages, etc. ???

  I kinda figured if you post them it will get them more traffic anyway,,, but wanted to make sure!?!!

  When people upload things to YouTube, they make the decision then whether or not to allow other people to put them in their blogs. If they don’t want it happening, they disable embedding. So the short answer is, if you CAN put the video in your blog, you have permission to do it.

  Yep, IF it plays. Sometimes it looks like it will, but it won’t. Always play it or just start it up to make sure.
