You tube video not displayed properly in google reader rss

  I can embed on my blog YouTube videos using the link on them no problem with that but I’ve noticed that in my RSS feed (I’m using Google Reader picking up my Feedburner feed), that videos are no longer embedding. Instead, a thumbnail is shown. I’ve seen this happen to a friend who’s also on WordPress.com. In my reader I can see other blogs youtube videos but not wordpress is there a work around to this matter? I guess that maybe the problem is that we are using the url link of the video instead of embedding them but form other posts I’ve seen that wordpress does not use embed, object or other tags like that? Are we getting the short end of the stick on this one?

  It’s working as designed (I don’t like it that way). When the feed leaves WP.com they embed a thumbnail instead of the video. No idea why.

  Wow. that is just bad it just take away from the experience of using rss since you have to use the thumbnail as a link. WordPress should do something about this ASAP.
