Hi, I tried to login into my account that is linked to my website, milkatrajkova.com, and I got the message, “Your account has been blocked as a security precaution. To continue, you must reset your password.” I am not receiving the URL reset in my email. I have all the emails associated with my domain. Please help! I do not understand why my account is blocked.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi @tututurnedtechie,
Thanks for posting in the forums. I understand how concerning it can be to suddenly lose access to your account. The message you’re seeing usually means the account was temporarily blocked as a security precaution and the next step is to reset the password for the account. In most cases, completing the password reset will restore access.
Please try the following:
- Go to the password reset page:
https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword - Enter the email address associated with your WordPress.com account.
- Check your inbox for the reset email. Be sure to also check your Spam/Junk/Promotions folders in case the email was filtered there.
If you no longer have access to the email address on the account, or if the reset email never arrives, you can try the account recovery process instead:
- Review the account recovery guide here:
https://wordpress.com/support/account-recovery/ - Then fill out the account recovery form:
https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery
The more ownership details you can provide in the form (such as previous passwords, billing details, or site information), the better the chances of successfully recovering the account.
Feel free to respond here if nothing works for you. We’ll be happy to assist you further. - Go to the password reset page:

Hi, thank you for your reply, I missed this notification, I went through the recovery process but never heard back. I need help!
Thank you so much!

I understand how frustrating it is to be locked out of your account, especially after already going through the recovery process without hearing back.
I’ve looked into this on our end, and the good news is that the password reset email has been sent successfully — so the issue isn’t with delivery on our side.
One important thing to note: the email address associated with your WordPress.com account may not be one of your domain-based emails. It’s worth thinking back to which email address you originally used when you created your WordPress.com account — it may be a personal email address like a Gmail, Outlook, or Yahoo account.
Here’s what I’d suggest:
- Go to the password reset page: https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword
- Enter your WordPress.com username or email address to trigger a fresh reset link.
- Check all of your email accounts — not just the ones tied to your domain. Be sure to look in the Spam, Junk, and Promotions folders as well.
- You can also search your inbox for “WordPress.com” to help locate the email.
If you’re able to find the reset email and reset your password, that should restore full access to your account right away.
Let us know how it goes — we’re here to help if you run into any issues.
