Your Custom Content Types
-
I am trying to set the theme Espied up as a portfolio with just icon links as the main page. However, when I tried to follow the instructions on how to do so, the “Your Custom Content Types” was not under settings any where. Can you help me?

Did you still need any help with this or are you all set? Looks like you’ve managed to set up your portfolio in Espied quite nicely!
“Your Custom Content Types” was not under settings any where.
That sounds like instructions meant for folks running WordPress on their own hosting, not for folks hosted here at WordPress.com – that may be where the confusion was.
Let me know if you’re all set!

Oh, my mistake, I just realized you’re running Pictorico, not Espied. ;)
Check out the guide to setting up portfolios on WordPress.com:
Note that right now, portfolio projects need to be added in the WP Admin dashboard:
https://deatonportfolio.wordpress.com/wp-admin/
The Portfolio section is here:
https://deatonportfolio.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=jetpack-portfolio
Once you’ve got portfolios active, check out the setup guide for Espied:

Let me know if you get stuck anywhere along the way and I’ll be glad to help!

Thank you for the help! I ended up switching back to Pictorico because I am pretty sure you are right that I’d have to pay for the portfolio function with Espied. I’ll mess with it a little more and see if I can get it to look a little more uniformed. It’ll really help. I will be using it to find a job in marketing/advertising (hopefully) in my area.

Sorry for any confusion. You do not have to pay anything to use portfolios, in Espied or any other theme. Portfolios are something available to every WordPress.com user, in any theme, for free. :)
Just let me know if you need further help and good luck with your job search!
