Your tricky policy in the promotion of the "Organizedtheme.com" themes offer
-
Hi
i just bought KERYGMA theme by your promoted website http://www.organizedthemes.com/, but i discovered i cannot upload directly by my wordpress page. BOth your website and Organizedthemes website doesn’t say clearly that buying one of your theme doesn’t allow the costumer to use it directly from his own wordpress “appearence” page. Altough you promote the Organizedthemes offer in your main themes page (http://wordpress.org/themes/ and then clicking in the “commercial” section), you don’t tell the costumer that this purchase will not be usable while being logged in in our own wordpress page. this bad news is only signalled if we go in your support page (“Because of the way WordPress.com’s technical infrastructure is designed, we are not able to support uploading of custom WordPress themes on our service”). Therefore I’m considering contacting the main costumer’ associations in my country to see if all this is legal, and signal this problem in various forums, unless you clearly demostrate me that I’m wrong, and in that case I apologise ahead of time.
Thanks for your attention,
Best regards

I’m sorry you are dealing with that hassle. However, the issue is that WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities: http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
You can absolutely use that theme on a self-hosted WordPress.org site and that is why you saw the offer on http://wordpress.org/themes/.
WordPress.org has complete documentation and support sites for self-hosted/installed versions of WordPress.org at http://codex.wordpress.org/ and http://wordpress.org/support/
Please let me know if you have further questions or if anything is unclear.
