Zoho mail cname verification issue

    Hi,

    I’m trying to set up a zoho mail account, following the instructions and it doesn’t seem to be working. I’ve tried doing this a few times without success.

    As directed, I created a CNAME entry within the Edit DNS section of my domain management.

    CNAME = zb14275762
    destination = zmverify.zoho.com

    I click add and it appears in the DNS entry list. However, when I go to verify, it says

    We are unable to verify you as the owner of the mccarthymr.com domain.

    I found someone with the same issue which was fixed by the entry being hardwritten into the DNS: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/zoho-email-1?replies=2

    Could this be looked into please as, if the case, then it could be a bug in wordpress causing a disconnect between changes in the Domain Management menus and the back-end data update.

    Hi Michael,

    I just checked your domain, and I don’t see that CNAME entry saved there. After you added the record, did you click the “Save Changes” button to save that new CNAME record?

    I just re-added that record and saved it, and it’s now working for me. Please try verifying your domain with Zoho and let me know how it goes! If you have any further trouble, please let me know and I can continue investigating it for you.
