Zuki Theme Acting Differently on 2 Sites

Hi – I just purchased the zuki theme for my site – https://road-test.org/ because I’d purchased it previously for my other site https://travelbloggers.ca/ – where it performs perfectly and looks great on mobile – this is the MAIN reason I chose to go with Zuki for Road Test – but it’s not working properly on my Road Test site despite the fact I believe I have everything set up exactly the same way. (both sites are set to ‘NO’ for ‘enable mobile theme’ – it’s responsive and shouldn’t require any changes)

Besides it being far too small on mobile for Roat Test it’s also glitching as you scroll. Any suggestions on what might be wrong?

I’m also having difficulty seeing social icons on PC for both sites.

Would appreciate any help I can get – have been at this for hours.
    Thanks!

Update – looks like my social icons are now showing – wondering if there was an overall glitch with WordPress – my wife’s website wasn’t showing them yesterday either.

  • Hi there!

It looks like the site road-test.org is not hosted on WordPress.com, as travelbloggers.ca, so there might be some differences between the two versions of the theme.
It’s best if you reached out directly to the theme’s developers or posted to https://wordpress.org/support/forums/.

Here, we are only able to help with sites hosted on our servers.

BOTH sites are on WP.com. They are identically set up.
Travelbloggers was purchased in 2013, but RoadTest just this week…
Could it be possible the new one is a different/updated version?

We thought we were contacting the developer.
Why would we post to the .org support forums when the issue is in .com?

    Thanks.

  • road-test.org is not hosted with WordPress.com. It is a site using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) but hosted with NetFirms.

Because WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two entirely separate entities, we cannot access files or data for sites that are hosted elsewhere, so WordPress.com staff can only assist with sites that are hosted on our servers. You can find more information here about the differences between WordPress.org software and WordPress.com: https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/

https://wordpress.org/support/ is a great resource for sites using the open source WordPress.org software, and you can find support for that at: https://wordpress.org/support/forums/

There are often some differences between a WordPress.com version of a theme and a WordPress.org version, and you can find support for the WordPress.org version of Zuki at https://elmastudio.ticksy.com/
