“Only secure content is displayed” message
-
Hello,
All of a sudden I am getting the “Only secure content is displayed” message on all of my pages/posts (never had it before).
On the Google Chrome console I have seen:
Mixed Content: The page at ‘https://abcdefgh.wordpress.com/’ was loaded over HTTPS, but requested an insecure stylesheet ‘http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Open+Sans|Merriweather:700’. This request has been blocked; the content must be served over HTTPS.
My site is hosted on wordpress.com so I can’t install plugins or change any code. Also I do not have any references fonts.googleapis.com on my site. Can anyone please tell me how to fix this?
Thanks,
Shane -
Yes: don’t use the Https link, just use the http one. It’s a damn shame but if the CSS images in the theme are at http addresses, you get an error when you try to load the https version of your blog, because not all the content is https.

I don’t think this has to do with images – I removed all images on the page and still got the message. And, I get the message on *all* pages and posts – even those with no images.
Going to the site with http:// automatically switches to https://.
How can I remove the reference to fonts.googleapis.com?
