Bio
I write full length novels, short stories and poetry. My characters are often a little different from the norm, outsiders who sometimes feel at odds with the world. I use a variety of locations from the exotic to the everyday, from colonial Malaysia, to a contemporary town suburb. My stories reflect historical and political events. My first novel 'The Eloquence of Desire' was published in 2010 and has been translated into Turkish. Many of my short stories have been published and I have judged several short story competitions. I also offer mentoring.
