Bio
Hi, my name is Frankie and I'm an acupuncturist / herbalist practicing out of Brooklyn, NY. I use they/them pronouns. Hablo español. I believe that Acupuncture is an important tool that can either supplement Western medical care, or in some instances, serve as an alternative solution. My sliding scale reflects my commitment to providing access for all by acknowledging the imbalanced resource distribution that more marginalized communities have historically experienced. I genuinely want to serve folks by providing accessible care and information on easy home remedies when applicable.
I graduated with a Masters of Oriental Medicine from Daoist Traditions College of Chinese Medicinal Arts in the spring of 2015. My studies were rooted in the teachings of Classical Chinese Medicine with a focus on acupuncture, herbal medicine, nutrition & food therapy, tui na massage, and essential oils. I studied under Jeffrey Yuen, which greatly expanded my knowledge of the five channel system, including the Primary, Luo, Eight Extraordinary, Sinew and Divergent meridians. I am also trained in the basics of Five Element acupuncture, as well as the NADA protocol for patients struggling with addiction.
When I’m not in session, you might find me reading or writing somewhere quiet or you might see me bopping around at a show. If you see me, say hi - I am very friendly!
