Bio
This project seeks to recreate Christian imagery in the medium of photography, with friends and members of the community as actors. The object is to immerse the viewer into a fantastic world and time period, while telling both individual and epic narratives. To accomplish this, we will use era-specific costumes and shoot at historical locations, without including any unintended anachronisms. We will also fashion these photographs in the style of Renaissance and Neoclassical paintings, echoing the biblical stories these periods emphasised. In addition, the scenes will not simply be literal representations, but rather will incorporate artistic elements as well as the subjects' personal stories metaphorically in biblical verse. Through this project we hope to reach the Christian artist community, prompt biblical and personal reflection, and spread the gospel in a gripping, visual way.
