Bio
I’m a New York artist who enjoys teaching, painting, drawing and assemblage art.
I spend my summer weekdays teaching young children assemblage art and weekends I paint for myself in my studio in Wilton Ct.
I also enjoy painting animals.
Love it when I get asked to paint someone’s cat, dog, rat, bird etc.
If you have a favorite pet or would like to gift a pet pet painting to a friend please send a photo of your pet to Annimurals@gmail.com.
Most paintings are $250 to $300.
My Bio:
As an Army Brat, Ann lived in Thailand, California, Washington DC and Germany. She moved to White Plains in 1980 and has been a professional muralist, surface painter and teacher for the past 30 years. Ann believes art can to be found everywhere in life.
In 2011, Ann was the resident artist for The Anantara Resort in Phuket, Thailand. She has exhibited in the Katonah Museum of Art, painted murals for the Neuberger Museum of Art, the Thayer Hotel at West Point, the Nicole Paone in Manhattan, Rye Synagogue, Bet Torah in Mt Kisco and numerous private homes throughout the Tri State Area.. You can enjoy Ann Ladd’s murals at the Westchester Medical Center with Follow the Fish, an elaborate signage mural for which she received a grant from Reader’s Digest. The Children’s Rehabilitation Center in White Plains contains more than 50 of her murals.
Ann teaches weekly Drawing, Painting and Recycled Sculpture Classes at The Rye Arts Center and is a Roster Artist for Arts Westchester, which brings art into New York-area public schools. Having spent her formative years overseas, she returns annually to Thailand where she satisfies three of her passions: teaching art, travel and giving back.
