Hey I won ‘Extraordinary Woman of Year 2011’ after surviving a devastating brainstem stroke with locked in syndrome at the age of 39.
‘Imagine being buried alive and trapped inside your body or waking up in you own coffin but
unable to move anything.
Then also imagine being able to think and feel normally,
as you see and hear everything going on around you.
Then imagine going on to make a full recovery, to finally share your use your to push boundaries to educate health and business professionals..?’
I founded Fighting Strokes - www.fightingstrokes.org site and has written 3 books in 3 years! I'm an internationally published author 'Running Free' & 'Gonna Fly Now!' & 'I Am Still The Same' 2014 (Amazon). I featured across a range of UK and global media.

I am a national and international stroke advocate for anyone affected by stroke and respected stroke-by-experience expert.
My charity has just become a member of the prestigious UK Stroke Forum.
I am currently involved in various research projects to improve the improvement progress for all stroke survivors.

The Deputy PM asked me to be a guest of honour at the Olympic Opening ceremony in London 2012.
I am invited to attend a Buckingham Palace garden party by The Lord Lieutenant for South Yorkshire in June 2014, for my charity work.
