Bio
I'm a working mom of two boys in Manhattan in communications at Hospital for Special Surgery. I've been a full-time mom and a full-time mom plus full-time freelancer, but now I'm back at the office while my husband Chester is full-time dad to the boys.
At age 42 I feel like I've missed the social media boat. Since I'm way to young to retire, my goal this year (in addition to getting my youngest son into kindergarten) is to become social media-savvy. Both healthcare and communications have transformed in the last 3 years, and I need to strategize so I can compete with the 28-year old social media wizzes who are commonly hired in my department.
I thought a nice excuse to start the blog was to talk about running with my oldest son Jonah. But once I started I realized I wanted to write about every aspect of my very complicated life as a writer, reader, working mom, New Yorker and perceptive observer.
