Bio
Bill Hurley is Editor and Social Media Strategist for the Wisconsin Education Association Council, an organization of public school teachers and education support professionals. His blogs about the use of social media and advanced communications technology. His focus is primarily on how WEAC uses this technology to engage its members but the concepts apply directly to all member organizations. Bill spent 12 years as a reporter and editor at the Milwaukee Sentinel prior to its merger with the Milwaukee Journal. He co-founded the WEAC Web site in 1996 and has since won numerous awards for Web services that adopt and adapt to new technology. He is a member of the National Education Association's PR Council, State Education Editors (SEE), Social Media Club of Madison and Social Media Breakfast of Madison.
