Bio
Boman Desai is an author and retired teacher of creative writing living in Chicago and Mumbai. He is the author of the novel, The Memory of Elephants, first published in the UK by Andre Deutsch, Ltd. under the editorial guidance of the legendary Diana Athill, and later reprinted in the US by the University of Chicago Press. He is also the author of the novels, TRIO, A Googly in the Compound, Portrait of a Woman Madly in Love, and The Elephant Graveyard. His sixth novel, Brahms Comes to Dinner, published in 2026 by Schaffner Press, is the 2025 winner of the Nicholas Schaffner Award for Music in Literature.
