Bio
Constance Delores Burrell is a passionate advocate for children and a celebrated author whose work has had a profound impact. Her book, the 1st Edition Children's Adventure learned her the Moonbeam Children’s Book Award in 2022 for one of the Best Comic/Graphic Novels and the International Impact Book Awards in both the Children and Family categories in 2024. Her college education provided her with a rich background in psychology, early education, and childcare. Constance has also honed her leadership skills as a graduate of the Women Entrepreneurs of Baltimore, Inc. (WEB). Her extensive experience includes serving as a lead teacher in after-school programs throughout Baltimore City and County. In addition to her work with children, Constance is a distinguished poet whose contributions to social justice have been recognized by the legendary Rosa Parks herself, earning her a place on the National Wall of Tolerance. A proud native of Baltimore, MD, she has triumphed over significant personal challenges. Her diverse passions; traveling, self-care, mentoring, mental health advocacy, and cherishing time with family, drive her commitment to making a difference in her community and beyond.
