Bio
Conny Lechner got intrigued with spiritual traditions and explored a multitude of philosophies and wisdom traditions at a young age. She first came across Tibetan Buddhism for the first time when she was 14 and got introduced to the Karma Kagyü Lineage, one of the major schools of Tibetan Buddhism by the age of 22. At that time she met her first teachers Gyalwa Karmapa and Lama Ole Nydahl and started her Ngoendro practice, while traveling around Europe to attend courses and lectures on Tibetan Buddhism.
Soon after this she came across Yoga and she started practicing Ashtanga Yoga. Although she is practicing other Yoga traditions also, Ashtanga Yoga is her main practice upon until today. She met her first teacher, David Williams in Scottland. Under his guidance she learned asana practice and was introduced to proper adjustments and alignments. Followed by trainings with Manju Jois, Richard Freeman and Alex Medin she deepened her practice. Her first 200 hr RYT she completed in Koh Samui, Thailand under Paul Dallaghan. By him she was introduced to Pranayama and Chanting. 2013 she completed her 500 hr RYT with Caroline Klebl in Los Angeles, California.
In Thailand she started to read Krishnamurti and she discovered “I Am That” by Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj. Both influence her on her path upon until today. During these years, she went to India, Thailand and Nepal and kept practicing the Dharma in the Diamond Way tradition.
Throughout these years she also studied the teachings of Ramana Maharshi on a continuous basis, as well the teachings of several great teachers from the Karma Kagyü and Nyingma Linage. These years are characterized by self-study and independent practice.
She continues studying the writings from Alan Watts, Adyashanti, Rupert Spira, Aurobindo, Stephen Wolinsky and others.
She writes, teaches and surrenders.
She tells social awareness stories and works on awareness-raising projects.
Ultimately she focuses on deepening the experience of the illusionary separate Self and the unveiling of our inherent freedom.
She is part of the Consciousness Hacking, a worldwide community of change makers who are focused on exploring and building new technologies for human flourishing.
Lately she has been collaborating with Wisdom 2.0, the Purpose Summit, Science and Non-Duality Conference and Partnerships for Change.
