Bio
I am delighted to welcome you to my blog and I am very proud to introduce you to the world of Lightpainted Dolls- where art dolls, sculpture and photography meet.
I'm a doll maker and photographer living in London. I have been immersed in art ever since I can remember. Hugely interested in dolls and "painting with light", I combined the two areas, which enabled me to create my distinguished style in doll photography. I have also painted, dressed, and customised resin ball jointed dolls for many years.
Every time I gave a new doll an individual, life-infusing look, I dreamt of making my own artist BJD from scratch. I was extremely lucky to meet Lidia Snul, the very talented creator of BJtales, who taught me the craft of professional ball jointed doll making. With Lidia as my mentor and an amazing tutor, I studied porcelain doll making and all 'pro's' and 'con's' of this very special and incredibly durable material. I have developed my own style in doll sculpture, and understood tricks of the trade, which I have been incorporating into my doll making ever since.
