Bio
Dale has been a Chicago Public School educator since 2005, when he joined Curie Metro High School to teach Digital Media. In June of 2011, Dale was awarded “Digital Media Teacher of the Year” for the Chicago Public Schools, and in June of 2012, his program was awarded “Digital Media Program of the Year.”
Dale began his career as the computer graphics system trainer for Color Data and Color Data East. He developed a thorough knowledge of hardware, software and processes applicable to digital asset management, graphic imaging, color separations, proofing and printing processes through research for Schawk, Inc. Dale was trained in the Dale Carnigie Sales course, where he was awarded “Highest Achievement,” an honor given to only one participant.
In 1993, Dale formed Epoch Consulting, Inc. with a twofold mission: to provide business and project management services relative to graphic arts and graphic imaging technology; and to provide knowledge, products and services relative to quality initiatives for any business or industry. Dale was licensed by the Paul Hertz Group as a RenewalNetsm founding partner to deliver their Quality Methodology.
Dale sold workflow and digital asset management (DAM) software solutions for InterchangeDigital, Inc. a wholly-owned subsidiary of Schawk, Inc. Dale was also manager of the Schawk Client Services Consulting Group, which provided needs analysis, software development, hardware integration, and computer training. He has held the position of General Manager at both Total Reproductions and Color Data, Inc., which were high-end printers and color separation trade shops.
Dale earned a MS in Industrial Technology, specializing in graphic arts and electronics, while serving as a graduate assistant at Western Illinois University. Dale also earned his undergraduate degree at WIU.
