Bio
Best known for Letters from Blitz, the fictional account of a beloved dog’s struggles at the Rainbow Bridge, Dan Santos is passionate about entertaining the readers with fast-paced suspense and surprising plot twists.
His three-book trilogy Insurrection tells the story of the first American dictator and the men and women who fought him. Appalachian Command, the first book of the trilogy, sets the scene for the catastrophic terrorist attack that destroys our government and kills off the entire presidential succession lineup. It has been compared to the blockbuster TV series Designated Survivor…except it was written three years before the show premiered. And that’s where the similarities end. Mile-High Blood and Tiger Legion continued and closed the Insurrection series, capturing the reader’s imagination with their fast-paced realism and surprising endings. Insurrection was so shocking that it took the US government over three months to allow its publication, a legal requirement because Dan had held the highest security clearances in the nation.
Letters from Blitz, a sentimental novella about Dan’s faithful Weimaraner dog, was recognized in three Amazon best-selling categories. Readers wrote it made them cry and laugh simultaneously, recalling their own dogs' antics. They applauded Blitz’s success in persuading heavenly authorities to improve the lot of those who waited to reunite with their earthly families and giving hope to those who did not have human families to greet at the Rainbow Bridge.
