I must admit I've stolen my 85 year old Opa's nickname because we share a few similar traits, but mostly because of our tendency for foolish rebelliousness.
"Donderzak" is a Dutch word used to describe a trouble maker, but upon a further, more thorough google search investigation, it seems the literal translation is actually Thunder Bags, which of course is cool enough for me!
I've been an athlete for most of my life yet I seem to identify myself with something a little more bushman like. Maybe the whole bushman thing is more a personal life goal than my actual reality, but I like to think I'm striving toward it.
There are few things that get me more excited than Old Growth Forests with overgrown moss and mushrooms, Ancient Herbal Medicine, Permaculture tutorials and Roadtrips (with great playlists) to new places. Yes, I guess you can expect this blog to pretty much be about those very things in the simplest way I know how to relay them.
