Bio
WELCOME! I am Charlene Neal Palmer.
I enrolled in the M.Ed program because I would like to become an Administrator or possibly the Superintendant of Schools one day. My ultimate goal is to obtain my PhD in Education, this has been a lifelong dream of mine. I will accomplish this goal one class at a time.
My professional goals have changed over time. In 1996 when I was first employed as a Teacher’s Assistant I did not hold a college degree. As time went on I desired more out of life, I wanted to become a college graduate. I enrolled in Albertus Magnus College in 2004-2009 during my time there I obtained my associate’s and bachelor’s degree. I do not wish to remain in my current position as a Teacher’s Assistant. I absolutely love children, but I desire to be in a position of Leadership. I have outgrown the classroom.
The experiences that I have gathered over the nearly 19 years employed as a teacher’s assistant has greatly shaped my future and decision to become an administrator or Superintendant. I have experienced the classroom instruction aspect of learning, now I want to be in a position to oversee the implementations carried out and to make major decisions regarding education. In 3 years I see myself having obtained my Master’s and working on my 6th year. In 5 years I see me almost finishing my PhD. In 10 years I see myself as Dr. Charlene Neal Palmer Superintendent of Schools.
