Bio
Renegade Education Project was founded in 2001 by Eric-Michael MacCionnaith, Ph.D. in Eugene, Oregon as the Renegade Theatre Project, working in conjunction with the Willamette Arts Theatre to address educational needs of children aged 7-18. Over the years, it has worked with large and small organizations to bring arts to the Willamette Valley, teaming with the UO Talented and Gifted Program and the City of Eugene Parks and Recreation. In 2010, RTP changed its name to the Renegade Education Project to better encompass its shifting mission, that of expanding beyond just theatre to include visual arts and other performing arts. Additionally, the focus has expanded beyond education, into production of high-quality arts experiences for adults and children, arts research, and arts advocacy work.
