For more than 40 years, I’ve written about the lives of the people around me. Their triumphs. Their troubles. Their news. My goal has always been to provide informative, accurate and compelling stories. Readers put their trust in reporters, which gives all of us in journalism the license to keep asking questions and to listen closely. But we have to earn that trust every day.
