Bio
I was once introduced at a party as Shrek, although I have nothing in common with the large green ogre. The guy who annihalated my surname was a Brazilian who had had no exposure whatsoever to the inticracies of English language pronunciation.
But you can call me Greg.
I've ran the gauntlet of careers; bank clerk, postman, software developer, and now teacher of English to foreign students, but there has always been one constant in my life - science fiction. Ever since I was old enough to watch Doctor Who (I was there at the start with Wiliam Hartnell as 'my' doctor) I have had a fascination with science fiction. I've always loved to read science fiction and to watch science fiction movies.
And now I love to write science fiction novels. I've just finished writing the second novel in my series THE RECARN CHRONICLES and am planning the third. I'm brimming with ideas and as soon as one novel is f?inished I'm champing at the bit to write the next one. It's like an addiction but a good one; I'm harming nobody and hopefully bring pleasure and entertainment to my readers.
Away from the keyboard, I like to visit the beach - being an ex-pat living in Brazil has some advantages - as well as watching Tottenham Hotspur FC on TV. I'm kind of the antithesis to Nick Hornby, my old classmate from Maidenhead Grammar School, in that respect - he supports Arsenal!
