Bio
My name is Hamish Peter Roberts. About four years ago after a decade of travelling I found myself at a crossroads. I was no longer satisfied with my career as a professional cameraman and although my travels had brought me a wealth of life experience I felt I lacked a basic theoretical understanding of what had shaped the world and its people. It was my Aunty who suggested that I give University a go and since that time I have never looked back.
I am a self-confessed nerd. I love my studies and although I am majoring in International Relations I have taken papers in everything from Islam and Philosophy to Environmental Studies.
Eventually I hope to combine my passions of filmmaking, travel and politics to produce documentaries tackling some of the key social and political challenges facing modern society.
Outside of University I am a surfer, an enthusiastic cook, a sportsman, an avid All Blacks fan and a guy that loves places where the sun shines 365 days a year.
