Bio

Hendi lives with her two daughters, her husband, and their dog in Washington, DC. She is a consultant with a professional background in public health research and program development. Over the past decade, she has served on several committees as a parent representative, including DC Hears and the Clerc Center’s Strategic Planning Committee at Gallaudet University. She is the founder of the Family to Family Network, a DC-based initiative that matches families of newly identified deaf and hard of hearing children with experienced families. She is currently writing a book about raising a deaf child with cochlear implants.
