Bio
Fred is a resource for business owners and human resources executives in areas of organizational development, executive leadership, and talent/succession planning. Through Hippotential, the consulting firm he founded in 2010, Mr. Hathaway provides educational workshops, retainer and project based consulting, and interim management. The firm’s model relies on assessments, mentoring, and strategic planning as key components of assisting client organizations.
Prior to starting his own consulting firm, Mr. Hathaway helped found the Turnaround Management Association, advised private businesses on strategy, ran a statewide nonprofit, published a management book for homebuilders, and served as a business development resource for several professional services firms. Certified as an EQ Mentor, Fred works with the management team members in many organizations to tie behavioral intelligence competencies to improved decision-making.
Whether in launching a new trade association, new initiatives within a nationwide nonprofit or continuous improvement and change management processes inside companies, he draws on a wide experience base of more than twenty years across dozens of industries. The topic of innovation is one that often emerges as a critical success factor for many of his clients and the intent to “innovate properly” is a cornerstone of Fred’s workshops and consulting.
