Bio
In 2000, Daniel and I were married, creating our blended family. Evette and Ralph (biologically mine) and Avery (Daniel's son) were a very important part of the ceremony because we needed them to know that we were an expanding family of inclusion, not one that was falling apart. I'll be explaining more on this, no doubt, as I write. In 2001, 9/11 changed the world but also managed a direct hit on our inner lives. Daniel was active duty and we were stationed at FT. Campbell so he WAS the tip of that spear President Bush referred to so much. There are a ton of stories about that new life to come. Just as I thought the challenge couldn't be more daunting, I was diagnosed with MS. At the time I couldn't imagine how that one visit to the neurologist was going to change our lives. I'm guessing MS is going to be another common thread for most of my posts. Today, the kids are grown and on their own, I'm a grandmother, I've lived all over the world and I'm in a wheelchair trying to get my bearings. Which way am I supposed to go with this? Stick around, I promise you'll never be bored...
