Bio
I have had the privilege of working towards enhancing the livelihoods of 750 unique businesses across five different refugee settlements, including Nakivale, Oruchinga, Kyangwali, Kyaka II, and Bidibidi. Through my efforts, I have aimed to bolster businesses in these communities and improve the overall economic conditions for those residing there.
Currently, I am focused on building iventure AFRICA, which is poised to become Africa’s innovation hub without walls. iventure AFRICA is designed to support leading innovators and entrepreneurs in co-creating a brighter future by leveraging technology and entrepreneurship best practices to tackle the most pressing challenges facing the continent, including extreme poverty and unemployment.
Over the last 5 years, I have played an instrumental role in organizing and managing the annual Uganda Innovation Week communications strategy. This annual event is co-created by more than 30 startup support organizations in Uganda, has been running successfully for four years now. Additionally, I have been at the forefront of a team responsible for overseeing the Uganda startup cup, which is an annual business model competition that attracts participants from across Uganda and is one of more than 72 such competitions worldwide.
