Personal: I love anything that inspires me to be better today than I was yesterday. I overcame many odds to be where I am today. I'm a survivor and a fighter creating my future despite my past.
"Professional"
Ipuna Black grew up reading C.S. Lewis and Roald Dahl and made up her own bedtime stories with her wild imagination. She graduated from college with a doctoral degree in nursing. She has worked in the area of pediatrics for years which gave her many experiences to provide her writing depth and fueled her passion for YA storytelling. She loves the YA years because it is an exciting time in one's life when one begins to ask big questions and find answers. YA years are emotional and empowering mixed together.
When Ipuna is not writing, she is running, adding content to her other website www.healthykidsplay.com, or being a taxi driver for her four kids in Las Vegas, NV.
