Bio
I am a fairly multifaceted individual. Writer, poet, musician, singer, song writer, and Jack of all trades artist type. I currently live in Alaska with my two wonderfully precocious sons, and my beautiful girlfriend who fill my days with joy and laughter.
In life, I seek the fulfillment of my ambitions; to be the best father, son, brother, friend and lover I can be. To be fully realized in this age and to appreciate life the best I can.
Jack Grimly is a pseudonym I created after working on my novel - Goodnight, Sweet Stardust. I use it for my erotic writing as well as my modeling. It's a sort of stage name that developed through many converging paths.
I have been writing poetry since the 4th grade. It was slow going at first, surrounded by the kind of male influence that seeks to snuff out the creative spark and limit feminine influences on young boys.
Eventually I met another like minded brother in words, Frankie "Blank" Carlock. A highly gifted and beautiful soul. Frankie was, for me, a catalyst of sorts. As we sat around blank papers crafting lyrics and drawing imagery that often caused concern among adults, (Monsters, dismembered limbs, etc.) Frankie helped me to embrace all that I had been hiding for fear of ridicule.
As our friendship continued, Frankie introduced me to role-playing-games like Dungeons and Dragons. Only, we started with a game called Palladium. Before I knew it, I was creating my own adventures and guiding my friends through fantastic journeys.
While RPGs would be the kindling for my love of the yarn, it was neither the spark nor the fuel that truly ignited my passion later. No, the birth of my story crafting occurred as a very young child, sitting around camp fires with my siblings as my aunt had us take turns ad-libbing "original" fairy tales. And, the fuel that truly ignited my passion later was a woman.
A champion of mine, of a sort. Jennifer reminded me that I had much to share with the world. I wrote the first chapter of Goodnight, Sweet Stardust as a gift to her and in return she gave me the gift of encouragement and helped me to believe in myself. It was through her that I grew to truly see myself as a writer.
