Bio
John L. Donelson is a Chicago native who lives with his family near Richmond, VA. He is happily married to Charlene, the proud and loving father of two, (daughter) Devon and (son) Michael, and also a grandfather, (that’s “G-Daddy” to his "Lady Bug").
John is a socially focused entrepreneur and freelance multi-media consultant. He is a US Military War Veteran (Go Navy), an award-winning freelance writer, author, and poet. As a college graduate, (earning degrees in Business, Accounting, and Human Resource Management), he will continue the pursuit of Non-profit Organizational Management because his purpose-driven focus is in the area of “Kingdom” Community Development, mentoring and teaching (life skills and financial literacy).
An educator at heart, John has a passion for sharing information to help change minds and change lives. On his to-do list, is to help develop an innovative specialized education system for all ages, and to finally pay educators, who really love teaching, what they are really worth.
John now devotes his spare time volunteering in the community as a program director at a local nonprofit (Making A Difference For You, Inc. (www.mad4yuinc.org). He loves assisting the vision of RAINN.org, (the Rape, Abuse, Incest, National Network) as a member of the Speakers Bureau, and he is the co-founder of Arrested Development Ministry along with his wife, speaking about Adverse Childhood Experiences (Trauma Informed Care).
