Bio
What to say about myself…hmm. Well, I’m a mom of one, married for nearly eight years to a wonderful man who’s always working very hard to provide for his little family. I work from home doing various jobs, but my most recent venture is photography. I first started using a DSLR nearly two years ago. I borrowed my mom’s camera and was instantly hooked! Since my son was born in 2008, the amount of pictures I took on a regular basis quadrupled. After years of trying for him and going through various struggles, it was like I just couldn’t get enough memories captured on film (or SD card!). I constantly had my camera ready. It was just a point-and-shoot digital at the time and I would get so frustrated with its lack of speed and quality.
Once I purchased my first big-girl camera, I fell in love with photography even more. It became my creative outlet and has continued to blossom. I recently started taking pictures for friends and family, in addition to the many pictures I took of my own family. With encouragement from others as well as my desire to mold this love of photography into a business, I am in the beginning stages of turning this dream into a reality.
I will be using this blog to share with people my favorite photos, share some of life’s great moments and probably gush about my little man. I hope that visitors will have a chance to see the type of work I do as well as watch me grow into the photographer I hope to be one day. (I know I still have so much to learn!)
