Bio
Hello, my name is James Persell. Presently, right now, I am employed by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department in Clarksville, Tennessee as a Detention Supervisor, where I have been for the past five years and who now trains new officers in the field of detention operations. Previously to this, I retired from the United States Army with 24 years of military service. I have been married to my wife Amy for 26 years and have two grown children with an almost four-year-old grandson. Professional speaking, I have completed an undergraduate and graduate program like most at Austin Peay State Univerisity before being accepted to this program. Educationally speaking, teaching is new to me; however, I bring over 30 years of real-life experience to the classroom, and I have also coached multiple people in many diverse areas worldwide. In short, I am excited to be a part of this group of educators, as mentioned before, with this new journey in secondary education.
