I moved to Surrey only a short time ago, having spent many very happy years in London running around at top speed and living the Corporate life.
I find myself for the first time in Woking, a much greener and more countrified environment and an area that I really don't know that well. Years ago I went to a party in Woking and through my youthful probably drink fuddled eyes I thought it to be a sleepy one horse town. Now, however, things have changed and Woking is now thriving with lots of local businesses, enough curry houses to qualify as a major town and what seems to me to be a real community spirit. I am very keen to get to know my way around so have decided that I will visit at least one new place in Woking and the surrounding area at least once a month and then as I quite like this writing lark, report back on my blog. I'm not just interested in eateries although as food is a big love of mine there will be quite a few Coffee shop/restaurant reveiws but I'd also like to take a look at local businesses amenities and attractions.
On most of my visits I'll be accompanied by Colin, my other half and a very alternative thinker who is also my chief editor.( well I haven't really got any other editor so he has to be chief)
I thought it might be fun to rate each place that I have been to in terms of overall enjoyment/ service/curiousity value. Only the very best will get the lightening standard the Triple Thunderbolt rating.
The ratings are in Thunderbolts as this is a name by which I was affectionately known by my colleagues and I think works very well as a rating system. Here it is:-
Good - One Thunderbolt
Very Good - Two Thunderbolts
Excellent, The lightening Standard - Three Thunderbolts3 bolts
I will add these to the end of each new blog and you can also search by them.
I'd love to hear your comments and if you have any suggestions as to where I should go next I'm all ears.
