Bio
You can say that I’ve always been interested in writing. As a young child first able to write, I would copy my story books onto paper, decorate a fancy cover, then proudly hand each one over to my mother claiming to have written a book. Of course, in the grown-up world there are laws against such things!
At the age of twelve years, I wrote my first poem expressing love for a boy that ran away with my heart. Following, through years of teenage turbulence, I filled notebooks with prose. To this day, much of my writing revolves around matters of the heart. As well, I have always kept my inner child very much alive and am having a terrific time writing children's stories.
In 2007, I wrote and published my first book of poetry, The Sum of Something Meaningful. Writing poetry has always been a source of expressive release and a sense of comfort to my soul. Further of my poetry collections will be published in the not too distant future.
Magical Heart is my first children's book. As well as writing the story, I did the art design for Magical Heart. My next project in the children’s book genre is a series that I am very excited about! The idea was born and developed during story time with my daughter.
Additionally, I continue to work on my first novel, Anaís.
I was born and raised on Long Island, New York. I studied poetry, novel, and memoir writing at The New School and Molloy College in New York. However, I believe in life lessons being our best teacher and understand I have much to learn. With the few things I’ve picked-up along the way, I hope to teach a lesson or two myself.
