Bio
I was raised as a Jehovah's Witness. For four decades, I served as an elder. During my life, I have pioneered, served in two Bethels, and preached extensively in three countries. I was still serving as an elder when Apollos and I began Beroean Pickets (www.meletivivilon.com) as a site for unbiased Bible research. We wanted a safe place where we could engage with other like-minded JWs (as well as other sincere Christians) in deeper study unfettered by the increasingly restrictive environment of our Organization.
As a result of the truth that has been uncovered, I no longer serve as an elder. However, I continue to associate with members of the congregation with a view to helping others come to a fuller knowledge of the real hope of the good news.
I do not presume to claim knowledge of the whole truth. What I have come to realize is that the way to God is through Christ and allowing the authority of men into the mix hinders and will eventually stifle that relationship. We have but one master and while others can help us understand his message, he speaks to us all directly through the Holy Word. If our spirit is open to his and not clouded by bias, pride, nor fear, he will reveal himself to each of us.
