Bio
I have started editing free information since 2008 by creating websites mainly in French.
I have drawn a simple black & white map of the Bolaven Plateau and have given it to the travel agencies. Many people still use that map, even if the scale is not correct among many other mistakes.
I have started to make real maps for travellers in 2014 when I decided to stop teaching in Laos (12 years as a teacher) and to open a small homestay - still very confidential.
With the homestay came travellers and questions: where to go,when to go, how long etc.
Therefore I have started to edit tools for my guests.
But as I am pretty crazy, the shy mapping project became more and more precise and exhaustive... such as my maps became the most important things to have to fully discover Southern Laos.
In January 2017, the project was finished and the maps were in quite good shape.
Now they are available in Southern Laos for few kips because I do not want to sell them too expensive so everybody can get them and enjoy their journey here, in Laos.
To be able to make those pocket-maps, I have been everywhere with my small motorbike.
Nobody never believe in the project: nor the tourism office of Paksé & autorities, not the NGOs, fondations & associations supposed to use millions & millions to develop tourism in Laos.
