Bio
Like other moms lately, I have been dreaming of starting my own blog. I had one previously but I used it for strictly my creative writing and less on me and my journey. I created Midwest Matriarch because I didn't just want to write creatively or tell my story. I wanted to also have an outlet to give advice without others feeling obligated to accept it.
I am a Millennial mom of 2 boys. My husband and I fell in love from an ice cream introduction (more on that later). I work at a financial institution full time and currently am finishing my BA degree. I struggle with depression, anxiety, my faith, motherhood, and pretty much life in general.
