Bio
Pam Is the Executive Director of Patient Relations and Legal Affairs for the Scarborough Hospital. In her role Pam promotes positive patient relations initiatives amongst staff, visitors, patients and their families. She also works with staff and physicians to facilitate the resolution of patient complaints and provides facilitation and mediation services to resolve issues between and amongst staff, physicians patients and families.
Pam is also involved in the follow-up processes after critical events and works with families, patients and providers to ensure ongoing communication and early intervention.
Pam received her law degree and her Masters of Law in Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) from Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto. She received her nursing training at the Wellesley Hospital School of Nursing.
Pam is the author of a number of articles on the use of mediation and other dispute resolution techniques in healthcare and is a frequent presenter at conferences in Canada and the U.S.
